BAA Training China will have six full flight simulators and a capacity to train 4,000 pilots annually, Avia Solutions Group told.
"Although we are going through a short downsize in the airline sector, we expect to have a bright future and believe that the aerospace industry, as the biggest economic contributor, will recover and keep developing further," Ziemelis said in a press release on Monday.
The new training center was established in Zhengzhou Airport Economic Zone on a franchise basis.
It was said in the summer of 2019 that Avia Solutions Group and HNCA were planning to invest 53 million euros in the training center.
The opening of BAA Training China, the second such pilot training center in the Asia-Pacific region, follows the launch of BAA Training Vietnam in September 2019.
