These limits are set to increase to 1,000 and 200, respectively, for July 1 through 16.
The government also revised its plan for reopening events after July 16.
The revised plan keeps the 1,000-person attendance limit on outdoor cultural events in place until August 31, but calls for gradually increasing the limit for indoor events by 50 – to 250 from July 17, to 300 from August 1 and to 350 from August 16, Culture Minister Mindaugas Kvietkauskas said.
The previous plan called for gradually increasing the limit on outdoor events to 900 in mid-July and keeping it in place until August 31.
According to the updated document, "mass events with more than 1,000 participants are not planned in Lithuania until August 31.
The plan may be revised or cancelled to adjust to changes in the COVID-19 situation.
