Based on data from marinetraffic.com, myshiptracking.com and vesselfinder.com, The Sestao Knutsen LNG tanker, sailing under the flag of Spain, has docked at the FSRU Independence, Lithuania's LNG terminal, having arrived from the US LNG terminal in Freeport, Texas.
Klaipedos Nafta (Klaipeda Oil), the terminal's operator, told earlier the tanker was brining 125,000 of cubic meters of LNG.
In December, the Maran Gas Apollonia tanker delivered 155,000 cubic meters of LNG to Klaipeda from the LNG production facility in Corpus Christi, Texas where Cheniere Energy's subsidiary Corpus Christi Liquefaction has an export terminal. Sources then told that the LNG cargo was meant for the Jonava-based fertilizer producer Achema.
Before that, a LNG cargo from the US as delivered to Lithuania in September, 2017 when Spanish gas supplier Gas Natural Fenosa delivered LNG to Lithuania's Lietuvos Duju Tiekimas (now Ignitis) from Cheniere Energy's Sabine Pass export terminal in Louisiana.
The first LNG cargo from the US was delivered to Lithuania in August, 2017 when Lietuvos Duju Tiekimas bought LNG from Cheniere Energy's Cheniere Marketing International. It also arrived from the Sabine Pass terminal.
