According to LNK News, the Lithuanian army continues to buy ammunition from Russia, more precisely, simulated ammunition used in exercises.
Minister Olekas explained that it was only "one or two small purchases" to finish using armament.
The former Minister of National Defence Rasa Jukneviciene was critical of such purchases. "I think we should take it more seriously, and I am not sure if we should feed Kremlin's regime with our money, which could be later used for aggression acts," said Jukneviciene.
According to LNK News, the army has also bought fuel for LTL 4 million (EUR 1.2 million) from the Russian supplier Lukoil, as it offered the lowest price.
