Throughout Lithuania, 12,000 immovable properties were sold in April, by around 22% more than in March (10,400 properties) and by 25.2% more year-on-year. For comparison, 10,078 immovable properties (buildings, premises and land plots combined) were purchased in April 2013; 8,430 in 2012; 7,678 in 2011; 7,220 in 2010.
Month-on-month in April, sales grew in every immovable property market segment. Lowest growth was recorded in apartment in blocks of flats sales – only one more apartment was sold. However, the number should increase as it is only provisional data.
Month-on-month, 85 more family homes were sold (10.8% growth), 98 more summer houses (43.8% growth); 207 more non-residential premises (21.9% growth), 68 more non-residential and mixed buildings (21% growth).
Land sale transactions were also higher. In April, 1,800 land plots of all purposes were sold or by 35.9% more than in March. Most plots were sold in Kaunas, Kedainiai, Klaipeda and Vilnius districts and in Vilnius city – more than 300 transactions in each location.
