"There is a need to create the conditions for the children to grow in the safe environment of the educational institutes in both the cities and regions. Moreover, there is a need to encourage the parents to seek for the secondary education of their children. The discussion over this issue is already taking place in the Seimas. It is planned to discuss the problem in the parliamentary committees and with the representatives of the municipalities in the short run," said the Speaker of the Seimas.
The leaders of Marijampole district paid the attention to this problem which would be topical for other regions as well. According to them, the 16-years-old teenagers who decided to drop the schools became the groups of the social risks.
While visiting the Vocational Education and Training Centre, Grauziniene heard the worry over the lack of the cooperation of the representatives of business and the vocational schools.
On Wednesday, Grauziniene also visited the Sudovia's Pension and will get acquainted with the activities of the company Sumeda.
