The investors who have designs on the Easter Europe's markets are most interested in Petrasiunai power plant.
In the short run, the company Danpower should present the concrete proposals related to the investments in the modernization of the heating sector. Then, the decision to sing the letter of intent should be made.
"After the visit of Lithuania's Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius in Petrasiunai power plant, we received the proposals of other companies and not only the proposals from the company Lietuvos Energija to invest in Kaunas heating sector. These investments would create more alternatives in the heating sector and would become the balance for the monopolist. Of course, the public and private partnership would be welcomed and the Danpower has a huge experience in the cooperation with the private sector," said Mayor of Kaunas city Andrius Kupcinskas.
According to Kupcinskas, such a company in the Kaunas heating sector could help to create even more competitive environment which would allow further reducing the heating price for Kaunas citizens.
