Norwegian launches direct flights to Vilnius "It's great that we can offer our passengers more direct routes between Stockholm and the Baltic states," says Charlotte Holmbergh Jacobsson, Communications manager at Norwegian. "We had flights between Stockholm and Riga before, but soon we will also offer direct flights between Stockholm and Vilnius, which of course will make travelling even more convenient."
"Vilnius is becoming more and more connected to the rest of Europe. As Sweden is a very important target market, and the biggest foreign investor in Lithuania, improving connections is crucial. I have no doubts that the direct flights to Vilnius introduced by Norwegian will provide a comfortable connection for leisure and business travel," says Milda Darguzaite, CEO at Invest Lithuania.
According to Statistics Lithuania, Sweden has the largest proportion – 23,7% – of foreign direct investment in Lithuania. Around 60% of Swedish capital flows into the IT and Financial sectors.
The flight to Vilnius will go three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, starting 8th May 2014. Prices start from 28 EUR / one way.
