Kravčiūnai is the most essential place of the national remembrance of Poles in the Vilnius region. The battle fought here in Kravčiūnai, on July 13th 1944, was the biggest battle between the Polish Home Army and the Nazi German occupiers of Vilnius.

At 3 p.m., on July 13th, the inhabitants of the Vilnius region, the residents of the Polish society in Lithuania, veterans, scouts, representatives of the Polish authorities and guests from the motherland will gather here for the 23rd time to pay tribute to the soldiers and to praise their bravery and heroism.

On Friday, July 13th, at 2 p.m. a bus will drive from the House of the Polish Culture in Vilnius to the place of the ceremony.
