Local tourists who traveled in Lithuania and spent one or more nights spent 31.4 million euros, up 6.7% from the same period last year.
The number of Lithuanian tourists' foreign trips grew 10.9% to 394,000, and they spent 138.3 million euros abroad during vacation and 48.2 million euros during business trips, up 11.8 and 7.7% respectively.
273,000 Lithuanian residents went for a foreign trip over the first quarter, up 8.7%. And the annual rise was 0.7% to 495,000.
The majority of foreign trips were made to the United Kingdom (11%), followed by Belarus (9.6%), Poland (7.7%), Latvia (7%), Germany (6%) and Norway (5.5%).
