As a result, the excise duty-free diesel fuel will be available for Lithuania's aviculturists, farmers, beekeepers and mushroom-growers.
According to Minister of Agriculture Vigilijus Jukna, the 16th Government started the fundamental reforms in the stockbreeding sector. The Government wanted to create the favourable conditions for the development of the agriculture and for the realization of the production.
"According to the current system, the amount of the excise duty-free diesel fuel is not sufficient for the livestock farmers. The excise duty-free diesel fuel is not available for Lithuania's aviculturists, farmers, beekeepers and mushroom-growers who are responsible for great part of the surplus value," said Jukna.
