Even if it was planned to end the worked within a period of 3 months, Mayor of Kaunas district Valerijus Makunas was sure that there was a need to make every effort, so that the people living near the railway would face as less discomfort as possible. As a result, the mayor discussed the situation with Head of Kaunas Railway Infrastructure as well as with the representatives of the society.
'We need to make every effort, so that people would face as less discomfort as possible. People engaged in the construction of the railway should talk about the competence - the restoration of the local roads. The Rail Baltica is the object of the international significance; however, we need to remember that people are living near this European Railway," said Makunas.
