It is called 'The Palace of the Grand Dukes and its Reconstruction' and represents the final event in a series held by the Lithuanian Presidential Office, in the framework of the EU Cultural Programme.
The exhibition was opened by the Lithuanian Ambassador to Estonia H.E. Neilas Tankevičius whose remarks were followed by a presentation given by Birutė Verbiejūtė, a historian and curator of the Lithuanian National Museum.
The display is illustrated with pictures and information about the authentic appearance and the most valuable archaeological findings connected to the history of the Palace.
The Palace of the Grand Dukes is a symbol of Lithuania's national pride and strong traditions of nationhood. Having been opened on 5 December 2013, the display will stay on in the gallery of the TUT Library until 15 January 2014.
