Vilnius Airport Hotel & Business, the 120-room hotel including a business center, should be opened in 2019, VPH said. An operator for the hotel should be selected and announced early in 2018, so far, the only available information is that it will be a world-known brand. The possible sum of investment is also withheld.
"All European capitals have commercial areas next to airports. Something like that is gradually forming in Vilnius. The area next to the Vilnius airport already includes Ikea and Nordika, and the VNO business and trade park now under development. I believe the district is already gaining grounds as a hub of investment and high-quality commercial projects," VPH shareholder Barry Nabuurs said in a press release.
VPH is a real estate project development and management company, with the main office in Vilnius and two more branches in Riga and Toronto. The company says the total area of its commercial projects under development is currently nearly 100,000 square meters, while the value of the properties operated by the company is over 100 million euros.
