President Dalia Grybauskaitė extended condolences to President Andris Bērziņš of Latvia over the tragic collapse of the supermarket roof in Riga, which left 16 people dead and many more injured. "On behalf of the Lithuanian people and on my own behalf, I would like to offer deep condolences over the tragedy which happened in Riga's supermarket. In this hour of pain and grief, I wish the victims' families and the people of Latvia strength, fortitude and togetherness", the President wrote in her message of condolences.
