On 3 March 2010, the European Commission adopted the communication EUROPE 2020 A strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth (hereinafter – 'Strategy'). One of the key goals of the communication is to ensure that in the EU at least 75% of those aged 20–64 are employed by 2020.
The Strategy's employment issues had already been discussed during Hungary's Presidency, in the first half of 2011. The implementation of the Strategy in the EU Member States then began.

The Meeting will cover the outlook for overall employment and youth employment support till 2020, the good practices for ways of youth employment support, and the balance between career and personal life as a prerequisite for gender equal opportunities in the labour market, etc.
