The EU Defence Ministers will take part in a strategic table-top Exercise EU CYBRID 2017 aimed at enhancing EU crisis management mechanism regarding hybrid and cyber threats.
The meeting will also address security situation in the Sahel and the Horn of Africa, the session on which is expected to be attended by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations Jean-Pierre Lacroix.
A joint session of EU Foreign and Defence Ministers will address new initiatives of the EU Common Security and Defence Policy with a particular focus on the development of the Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO) and the European Defence Fund.
