"(Lithuania's) new National Energy Independence Strategy provides for the development of wind energy. In light of this and in keeping with our company's long-term goals, we are planning to increase wind energy production," Renerga CEO Mindaugas Juodis said in an interview with the paper.
"We are also currently considering expansion not only within Lithuania, but also outside of it. We do not confine ourselves solely to wind energy. We are also interested in other types of energy projects," he said.
Renerga owns a new 7.2-megawatt wind farm in the eastern district of Anyksciai, hydro power facilities in Pastrevys and Kavarskas, and 50-MW wind farms in Benaiciai, in the western part of the country, as well as an experimental 6-kilowatt wind power facility and an experimental 4.2-kW solar power plant.
