President Dalia Grybauskaitė, who is in Brussels for the European Council Summit, extended congratulations to German Chancellor Angela Merkel on winning the Bundestag election and presented her with the Lithuanian cheese Džiugas. Dalia Grybauskaitė pointed out that Lithuanian-made cheese was well-known and appreciated in the whole of Europe. As she accepted the gift, Angela Merkel said that she supported Lithuania and liked Lithuanian cheese.
