"The port of Klaipeda achieved very good results both in June and in the first half. It was the best June in the port's history in terms of cargo volumes. The first-half result hit an all-time-high, too," Arturas Drungilas, the port's marketing director, said at a news conference on Wednesday.
The total number of ship arrivals in Klaipeda fell by 218 ships, or 6.3%, in the first half year-on-year to 3,242 ships, but the total number of passengers rose by 9,100 to 141,200 passengers.
