“There is great interest in Lietuvos Dujų Tiekimas in Latvia. We felt this before the market was even officially opened. We are glad to be able to enter the Latvian market and offer diversified gas supplies with the best conditions for companies in this country. We believe that opening the market will help them get the best prices possible,” claimed Lietuvos Dujų Tiekimas CEO Mantas Mikalajūnas.
Agreements were signed with companies that consume themselves or sell gas to end consumers. First volumes of natural gas will be supplied to Latvia soon.
Latvia officially ended its natural gas import and supply monopoly on the 3rd of April this year.
