Unfolded flags of Lithuania and Ukraine were joined into one big heart symbolizing the friendship and collaboration of the two countries and their people. The project is carried out for the second year.
"Friendship of nations begins with people-to-people contacts. We - Lithuanians and Ukrainians - are bound not only by our common history but also by a shared view of the future. I am happy to see so many young people here. The spirit of friendship will lead you in building our common future. You are the best proof of our ties," the President said addressing the youth.
According to the President, it is vibrant and dynamic young people - young Europeans - that bring Ukraine closer to Europe. The Union offers the youth a vast range of opportunities to travel, study, work, and realize their potential which can be used for promoting the well-being of their countries. The future of states is in the hands of young people," the President said.
