The President underlined that the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Lithuania and Poland reminded us of the very special bond connecting the two nations – neighbors and partners.
“We face the same challenges. We share the same approach to key regional issues and uniform interests in Europe and the transatlantic community. We pursue the common objective of ensuring well-being and security for our people,” the President wrote in her message of congratulations.
She pointed out that the projects we were implementing together across a wide range of fields made Lithuania and Poland stronger and consolidated the rights and values of our citizens. According to the President, the challenges we define very clearly and address with full responsibility, the open bilateral dialogue based on reciprocal understanding, and the unity we demonstrate in protecting our democratic ideals remain crucially important in the region and across the continent.
