There has been some increase, as the parking lot has always been empty. This is a problem of the neighboring side – replacement of the chief of the checkpoint (of the Russian side at Kybartai) resulted in some lines, we have no further information. A line of about 60 vehicles is not something to talk about – we have had 600 trucks at Medininkai in the past. Eight hours of waiting is not a tragedy," Arnoldas Tvaronavicius told.
According to data provided by the directorate, 63 trucks are currently awaiting entry in the Kaliningrad region at Kybartai, in addition to 35 trucks at Panemune. The waiting time at both checkpoints is about seven hours.
Meanwhile, 25 trucks are lined up at Medininkai for entry in Belarus and they should cross the border within an hour. The 30 trucks lined up in Lavoriskes should wait for about four hours.
