“Travellers to far-away lands will be able to travel more comfortably because five daily flights to Warsaw Chopin Airport will allow choosing the most suitable time and not wasting time while waiting for the next flight. Taking a connecting flight in Warsaw will allow reaching many popular destinations all over the world. In addition, we hope that more frequent flights to the capital of Poland will help to develop business relations with the neighbouring country,” said Indrė Baltrušaitienė, the Head of Communication and Marketing Division of Lithuanian Airports.
Currently “LOT” flies from Vilnius Airport to Warsaw Chopin Airport three times per day. This summer, flights to Warsaw were also conducted from Palanga Airport. New flights will be conducted via “Bombardier CRJ900” aircraft capable of carrying 88 passengers.
“During the summer season of 2017, we will offer two additional daily flights from Vilnius to Warsaw. This will double the opportunities of travellers from Vilnius via Warsaw. Aeroplanes from Vilnius to Warsaw will take off approximately every three hours, which will greatly improve the opportunities of connecting flights. In cooperation with “Nordica”, a new partner in the Baltic states, we will offer as many as five flights to Warsaw and three flights to Tallinn every day,” said Adrian Kubicki, the Executive Director of the “LOT” Corporate Communication Division.
A “LOT” representative also said that the summer season tickets are already available for purchase. From Warsaw Chopin Airport, it is possible to reach over 300 cities all over the world every day, while flights are being conducted by such companies as “Qatar Airways”, “Singapore Airlines”, and “Etihad Airways”.
This year, Vilnius Airport already handled over three million passengers and improved the result of the same period of the previous year by approximately 15 per cent. It is expected that more frequent flights to Warsaw will allow achieving even better results during the summer season of 2017.
