Lithuania's jobless rate remains at 7.2%

Some 130,100 unemployed individuals were reported in Lithuania on Nov. 1 which makes 7.2% of the working-age population. The figure was unchanged from early October. Nevertheless, employers registered 29,200 vacancies in October, which is a decline by 5,300 from September, the Labor Exchange said. In October, 27,800 people were hired, which adds up to 271,000 people since the start of 2016. The jobless rate in Lithuania's largest cities was below the national average, for instance, at 6.6% in Panevezys and 4.8% in Siauliai.
