The service of delivery of goods may be used by a passenger residing in Lithuania and flying to any European Union country. Upon the purchase of goods in a duty-free shop, you only have to order the service of delivery to your home at the cash desk. The goods purchased are delivered at the indicated address in Lithuania within three days.
“In the shops of Vilnius Airport, the selection of high quality goods is quite broad and attractive, however, passengers could not always afford purchasing the desired goods – because you need to take them on your flight going forward and back. This is not always possible due to the restrictions on liquids in the hand luggage. Now, passengers are free from such concerns – the goods purchased at the Airport may reach your home sooner than you fly back to Lithuania,” says Agnė Mažeikytė, Communication Projects Manager of the Airports of Lithuania.
“Every year, we offer to passengers of Vilnius Airport the services in conformity with the most recent airport trends allowing the passengers to shop more rapidly and more conveniently as well as to save more. The current new service means a convenient possibility to dispatch goods and gifts to family and friends even before the flight,” maintains Orinta Amelija Ambrazevičienė, Managing Director of Travel Retail Vilnius, an operator of duty-free shops.
According to the Managing Director, as from the introduction of the service in Airport shops, it has been used by about 300 passengers, however, the popularity of the new service is quickly increasing. The goods which are delivered most often are fragrances. There is a trend for men flying on a business trip to surprise the women they love by sending a gift directly home.
If you wish to order the service of delivery of goods, in a duty-free shop, you have to present a valid ticket for a flight from Vilnius Airport to any EU member state, an identity document proving that the buyer is of age and the delivery address in the territory of Lithuania.
If you purchase the goods for the amount higher than EUR 50, their delivery will be free-of-charge, while if you buy for a smaller amount, courier services will cost you EUR 3. The delivery of goods is available across Lithuania, except for the Curonian Spit. The buyer can also ask to deliver the goods on the chosen day, except for the weekends.
