Vilnius Airport records a 25% growth in passenger traffic over the first six months!

Over the first half-year, Vilnius Airport (VIA) handled 1,213 million passengers, showing a 25% increase, compared to the same period last year.

In June this year the passenger traffic reached 252,818 passengers showing an 11% growth, compared to the same month last year.

Over the first six months this year, the number of flights at VIA rose by 4% to 15,142, while the number of freight increased to 3,332 tonnes, which marks a 15% growth.

The most popular routes during the first half-year were London, Frankfurt, Riga, Copenhagen, Milan.

New routes:

From 30 June Air Lituanica will offer flights from Vilnius to Brussels six times a week; from 8 July the airline will operate daily flights to Amsterdam and from 5 August Air Lituanica will launch four-times-a-week flights from Vilnius to Berlin.

On 11 June Turkish Airlines opened flights from Vilnius to Istanbul through Tallinn and operates them three times a week.

From 5 July Wizz Air Ukraine will offer flights to Kyiv Zhuliany Airport four times a week.
