Vilnius narrowly pipped Stockholm and Copenhagen who scored 97 percent each.
“We are currently the happiest city in Europe, and in the future, my wish is for Vilnius to be the happiest city in the world,” said Vilnius Mayor, Remigijus Šimašius. “Every day, I see more people on the streets smiling and looking happier.
“I believe this positivity reveals much more than the results of this poll.”
The lowest satisfaction amongst EU capitals was Athens at 71 percent, and Rome at 80 percent.
