The study that was conducted by Spinter Research showed that 42% of Lithuanian residents believe that their children will be able to create better lives abroad rather than in Lithuania. Only 14 % of respondents think that their kids will be better off in Lithuania. However, 44 % of Lithuanians do not think that a specific country has nothing to do with the quality of life.
It is important to note that people who think that their kids will be better off in Lithuania are 36-45 years old, rather wealthy with their own businesses or highly ranked positions at work. This belief shows that wealthier Lithuanians believe that their kids will also be create a prosperous life for themselves in their home country.
The youth (18-35) and the eldest people (56 and above) believe that children will be better off if they leave Lithuania. People receiving middle level or lower income, servants, pensioners, and students have higher hopes related to living in a foreign country.
