The phase of the exercise to take place will include international tactical field training, which will take place simultaneously in military training grounds of Gaiziunai and General Silvestras Zukauskas.
In the framework of the exercise, more than 5,000 troops from Denmark, the United States, Poland, Lithuania, Luxembourg, France and Germany will train in Lithuania.
Major General Almantas Leika, the commander of Lithuania's Land Forces, this will be the largest training in Lithuania over the past few years.
Allies have brought various military equipment to the war games, including Danish Leopard tanks, German Boxer armored vehicles, PZH 2000 self-propelled howitzers and US Stryker armored vehicles, along with A-10 US assault warplanes and B-52 strategic bombers.
The Iron Wolf 2016 will take place on June 6-16.
