Law-enforcement officers on May 30th conducted searches at the office and home of the director of the Lithuanian unit of Bertona Holdings Limited, a company controlled by Nerijus Numavicius, the largest shareholder of Vilniaus Prekyba, the country's biggest business group, as part of a suspected corruption case involving politicians and the MG Baltic group, sources have said.
The sources told that Diana Dominiene, the director, was being questioned by the Special Investigation Service (STT) on Tuesday.
According to the sources, these law enforcement actions are related to a pre-trial investigation into suspicions that MG Baltic Vice-President Raimondas Kurlianskis bribed politicians.
