The event is organised to provide a platform for EaP countries to make their point about topical security issues, to point out their priority areas regarding cooperation with the EU, to formulate advice to be passed on to EU institutions responsible for shaping the EU Global Strategy on Foreign and Security Policy.
Cooperation between EU member states and EaP countries in the area of security and defence will be addressed at the conference in Vilnius by officials, and representatives of academic community and NCOs from 6 EaP countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine), EU member states, and the European External Action Service (EEAS).
The conference is co-organised by the Ministry of National Defence and the Eastern European Studies Centre in cooperation with Poland's National Centre for Strategic Studies and the European Union Institute for Security Studies, and contributions from the EU.
