"We've signed a letter of intent on a trial project worth 15 million euros, which envisages the construction of two 5 MW solar power farms in Cirebon," Global BOD Group chairman, Vidmantas Janulevicius, told the daily.
The solar power farms, which will be built by the Lithuanians, will be the first photovoltaic installations in Indonesia, which has recently announced its intentions to build 18,000 MW of solar power over the next few years.
If the trial project is successful, Global BOD Group will build solar power projects totaling additional 90 MW within the next three years. In this case, the Lithuanian company will build a solar module plant in Cirebon so as to reduce production costs.
