Moreover, Invest Lithuania, the governmental FDI promotion agency, says that it is currently talking to 13 potential investors from Russia, the Verslo Zinios business daily reports on Friday.
In the view of Vaidotas Rukas, a fund manager with investment firm INVL Asset Management, excluding Russia's corporate and private investment in real estate, "not much is in fact left in Lithuania".
Meanwhile, Viktorija Trimbel, CEO of Qantum Capital, told the daily that when assessing the dynamics of foreign direct investment (FDI) it was useful to check the developments in Cyprus, Malta, the Netherlands and similar jurisdictions, which were often used as a channel for Russian or Belarus money.
"I don't see any withdrawal of Russian business from Lithuania or the Baltic countries. What we see is more likely the corrections of jurisdiction," she said.
