"If the Poles manage to negotiate amendments to some laws, they should be applied to everyone as there shouldn't be any discrimination. However, it's difficult to predict what Russia may do," Erlandas Mikenas, president of Linava, the Lithuanian national road carriers' association, told the daily.
Poland was irritated by Russia's legislation, which requires trilateral permits for the transportation of goods manufactured by a foreign company.
Lithuania had had to reconcile with the same Russian requirements already last year, Mikenas said.
Approximately a year ago, Russia passed a piece of legislation on motor transportation of goods from third countries and the European Union to Russia, which included a new definition of third country cargoes.
