Švyturys technologists designed a menu of drinks and dishes for the new bar at Vilnius Airport. They paired each dish with the most suitable beer style available at the bar. Competent bar staff will provide more information about these pairs.
"The growing number of passengers at the airport and their needs are a stimulus for us to take care that they spend their time before the flight as good as possible. That is how we came up with an idea of a comfortable and exclusive beer bar – a specific style of beer that best suits the dish and renders new taste sensations is offered next to each dish. We are hoping that the bar will be popular among foreign travellers wishing to taste Lithuanian beer paired with already familiar dishes as well as Lithuanians seeking for new experiences," said Artūras Stankevičius, Director of Vilnius Airport.
The new airport bar located near Gate A14 will be open from 1 December.
The bar Švyturys will offer no less than 5 styles of draft beer; passengers will also have a chance to taste over 15 different styles of bottled beer - at least half of them will consist of the products by Lithuanian brewers.
The bar also features an educational area where passengers will be able to learn about the Švyturys brewery and the brewing technologies used in it.
During the past six months Vilnius Airport did not only offer new places where passengers can have a meal (the sandwich bar Subway opened its door in spring) but also provided an opportunity for passengers to watch short films while waiting for the flight. Several weeks ago a pharmacy was also opened at the airport.
