Lithuanian shipper DFDS Seaways generates EUR 129.4 mln revenue in 9 months

Danish-owned, Klaipeda-based ferry operator DFDS Seaways saw its revenues from operations in the Baltic Sea region shrink by approximately 3% in the first nine months of 2015 from the same period last year, to 129.4 million euros. Its EBIT, however, rose to 23.9 million euros, from 16.9 million euros last year, the Verslo Zinios business daily reports on Friday, citing the interim financial report of Denmark's DFDS. According to Jonas Nazarovas, executive director of DFDS Seaways, cargo and passenger flows generated through Klaipeda account for the lion's share of DFDS' operations in the Baltic region.
