Plenary
During Wednesday's plenary, MEPs will debate the European asylum and migration policy, the EU's economic and monetary union and the UK's referendum on the EU ahead of the European Council on 15-16 October.
In addition they will vote on Parliament's position regarding December's climate change conference in Paris (COP21) to reach a new global agreement.
They will also be asked to approve a proposal to allocate an additional €401.3 million to EU agencies dealing with the refugee crisis, such as Frontex.
Committees
Environment committee members vote Tuesday on a proposal to allow EU countries to decide for themselves whether to ban the imports and sales of GMO products on their territory.
The civil liberties committee debates Tuesday the electronic mass surveillance of Europeans.
The international trade committee discusses Thursday a draft report containing recommendations to the European Commission concerning the ongoing negotiations for a Trade in Services Agreement (TISA).
MEPs choose on Thursday the three finalists for this year's Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought in a vote by the foreign affairs and development committees and the human rights subcommittee.
Measures to improve the reliability of the EU's organic food labels, including more checks on producers and stricter rules for bio-foods, are to be voted on by the agricultural committee on Tuesday.
