Lithuania's Foreign Minister also welcomed the fact that Ukraine would start implementing the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, including the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA), on 1 January 2016.
Linkevičius noted that Lithuania was ready to further provide all the necessary assistance to Ukraine in implementing its reform agenda, particularly when sharing its expert experience. Lithuania's Foreign Minister drew attention to the fact that Ukraine had a historic chance to return to Europe as its full-fledged, respected member.
"We call on Ukraine to grab the opportunity to use the international community's full-fledged support, creating a successful, progressive and democratic country for the benefit of its citizens," said Linkevičius.
Abromavičius is paying a working visit to Lithuania on 31 July and 3 August. The Ukrainian Minister also met with the Prime Minister and other representatives of the Government of Lithuania. This is the first visit to Lithuania after his appointment as Minister in December 2014.
