"We strongly support the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and we continue to call upon Russia and Ukraine to fully implement obligations laid down by the Minsk ceasefire agreement", said Prime Minister Butkevičius to the Ambassador.
According to the Prime Minister, it is vital to spur forward implementation of domestic structural reforms in Ukraine. "I am confident that realisation of indispensable reforms will ensure further growth of prosperity and open economy in Ukraine, and will encourage international cooperation", said the Prime Minister.
In the meeting with the Ambassador of Ukraine, the Prime Minister has also expressed his delight at the intense and dynamic bilateral economic cooperation, and has noted that the bilateral trade turnover between Lithuania and Ukraine exceeded EUR 1 billion in 2014.
Ambassador of Ukraine to Lithuania Valery Zhovtenko has conveyed gratitude of the entire people of Ukraine to Lithuania, its people, and Government for the support.
