Some players of Lithuanian political scene reported the decline of their popularity among voters. However, others, including the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania, enjoyed the growing support of the citizens.

The analysis of the results of this year's municipal elections in Lithuania shows that 8 political parties exceeded the electoral threshold of 5-percent. Compared with the results of the local elections in 2011, the bigger support of the voters gained the folowing parties: the Conservatives, the Liberal movement, the EAPL coalition and Lithuanian Union of Freedom. Meanwhile, the Labour Party, Order and Justice Party, the Lithuanian Peasant and Greens Union and the Social Democratic Party got less confidence from the voters.
In the last local elections EAPL was close to conquer the Labour Party. In terms of voters support, the block of Valdemar Tomaševski takes the honourable fifth place and loses to the Labour Party in only about 0.96%. In connection with such a large loss of support for the Labour Party, Loreta Graužinienė resigned from the position of the leader of this political party yesterday.
The increasing dynamics of support of voters predicts success for EAPL before the upcoming elections to the Seimas, which shall be held next year. If the elections to the Seimas were held in the near future, EAPL would have a chance to gain 12 seats. Currently the party has 8 seats in the Seimas of Lithuanian.
