Krivas positively assessed the position of Belarus to strive for a peaceful regulation of the conflict in eastern Ukraine and to develop more active relations with the EU.
Deputy Minister Krivas urged Belarus to get more actively involved in the Eastern Partnership programme, to work diligently improving human rights situation in the country because this will be the factor determining further development of the dialogue between the EU and Belarus.
Kupchina emphasised that Belarus remains interested in cooperating with the EU and participating in the Eastern Partnership programme.
The deputy ministers rejoiced at bilateral cooperation in cargo transit and expressed interest in further developing cooperation in various areas.
During the consultations, the delegations devoted much time to the upcoming Summit of the EU and Eastern Partnership countries in Latvia and the situation in Eastern Europe.
