The Head of Government has pointed out the need to further foster the bilateral economic cooperation, for it to continue to grow. In the first half of 2014, Lithuania's exports to the Czech Republic amounted to EUR 112.6 million, which was 34.2 per cent up on 2013. Meanwhile, the Lithuanian imports from the Czech Republic accounted for EUR 203.8 million, which was 15.2 per cent up on 2013.
Prime Minister Butkevičius and Ambassador Bohumil Mazanek have also discussed the necessity to strengthen the Baltic-Visegrad cooperation, the partnership in the NATO framework, the situation in Ukraine, the introduction of the euro, as well as the liquefied natural gas terminal in Lithuania.
