"I am glad that Lithuania and Poland are close allies and strategic partners. The principles of freedom and democracy that bring our nations together give us strength, which is much needed in these difficult times, both in Europe and in the democratic world at large. Our common history has shown time and again that the prosperity of our peoples is interlinked, that only united we are strong, that we understand that freedom is not a given, and that we will continue to defend it together, as we have done so many times in the past.
In the face of Russia's brutal war, we also stand in solidarity supporting Ukraine, which today is defending not only the freedom of its own citizens but also the future of our countries and the entire democratic world. Ukraine must win, and this is the only way we can we be sure of our own future and the future and security of Europe as a whole. We must do everything we can to make this a reality as soon as possible.
On this important occasion, I would like to once again wish all the people of Poland peace, prosperity, and well-being. I am confident that the strategic partnership between our two countries will grow ever stronger, and that we will not fail to work together for a just and sustainable peace and a secure world for future generations," said the Head of Government in her message of greetings.
