The Lithuanian and Polish leaders discussed the first results of the parliamentary election held in Poland on Sunday. Gitanas Nausėda congratulated Poland on high voter turnout. The two leaders agreed that cooperation between Lithuanian and Poland in the fields of security, politics, economy, and culture will be further strengthened and intensified.
“We are interested in further strengthening our partnership with Poland. Our security and defense cooperation and our united support for Ukraine are the guarantee for regional security. We particularly value excellent fraternal relations with Poland and look forward to even closer cooperation in the future,” President Gitanas Nausėda pointed out.
The Presidents of Lithuania and Poland also discussed the security situation in the region and support for Ukraine. The Lithuanian leader stressed the need to support Ukraine by all means until its victory and underlined that Poland’s role in ensuring the security of the region is of great significance.
