“Ukraine is our long-term priority. We are inviting Estonia to join the coalition for demining Ukraine with financial contributions or in equipment acquisition,” said A. Anušauskas.
”Demining equipment comes first, then training next,” he added.
The concept of the coalition for demining Ukraine will be presented in detail this December. It is planned to be joined by Denmark, Slovenia, Spain, Belgium, France, Italy, Portugal, Moldova, Slovakia and Sweden. Poland, Iceland, Japan and South Korea have yet to make the final decision.
It was noted that Lithuania became a member of the IT coalition led by Estonia and Luxembourg for strengthening Ukraine’s cyber capability.
Minister and Ambassador also discussed current affairs of the Baltic Defence College and upcoming meetings with the other Baltic Defence Ministers.
