According to President Grybauskaitė, strong support for the Baltic countries demonstrated by the United States of America in the face of Russia's aggression is especially important. The United States of America and the Baltic countries are linked not only by common values - freedom and democracy - but also by their commitment to ensuring regional and transatlantic security.
Following the meeting in Tallinn, the presidents will travel to Wales for the NATO summit which will take place on 4-5 September. The summit will discuss a broad package of measures to ensure the long-term presence of allies in Lithuania and neighboring NATO states.
