“If Ukraine’s fight does not end in victory, Russia’s aggression will have long-term global consequences. Therefore, we are grateful for Chile’s active position in defending universal values,” the head of Lithuania’s diplomacy said.
The Lithuanian and Chilean Foreign Ministers discussed the need to mobilise the international community’s efforts to preserve the rules-based international order.
“I invited the Chilean Foreign Minister to participate in the Third Future of Democracy Forum, which will take place in Lithuania. Amid growing threat from authoritarian regimes, it is necessary to strengthen the voice of democratic states,” Landsbergis said.
The Foreign Ministers also discussed bilateral economic relations and the need for swifter negotiating on bilateral economic agreements.
