The participants of the meeting welcomed intensive cooperation between Lithuania and Croatia.
Linkevicius appreciated the opportunity to share the experience of Lithuania's EU membership with Croatia, the youngest member of the European Union, and expressed support for Croatia's aspiration to join the Schengen Area.
At present Lithuanian institutions are carrying out three short-term Twining projects in Croatia to share experience in the area of coordination of European affairs, as well as experience related to the European Arrest Warrant, organizing electoral campaigns and financing of political parties.
On 1 July 2014 Croatia celebrated the first anniversary as the European Union member.
